Privacy Policy — Public Website
Effective date: [DATE NOT YET SET]
This policy covers the public website only — the pages anyone can read without signing in. The parent portal and staff portal have their own privacy policies, because they handle different, more sensitive information.
1. What we collect on the public site
- Contact and admissions inquiries. Name, email, and whatever else you choose to include, submitted through a form on the Site. Used only to respond to you.
- Photo reports. If you report a public photograph (at /report), we record the reason you selected, any note you add, and the IP address the request came from — kept to act on the report and to deter abuse of an otherwise anonymous, account-free tool.
- Server logs. Ordinary web server logs (IP address, browser, page requested, time) generated by visiting any page, kept briefly for security and reliability and not used to build a profile of you.
2. What we do not do
The public site does not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising or analytics scripts, or cross-site tracking of any kind. Fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from a third-party font service, specifically so that visiting this site does not tell anyone else that you did.
3. The public photo gallery
Photographs in the public gallery show school life and have been individually reviewed and approved by staff before publication — nothing reaches the public gallery automatically. Publication decisions, and what a family has and has not agreed to about their own child's image, are governed by the enrollment agreement and the family's account in the parent portal, not by this public policy.
Published photographs carry an identifying mark tied to the address, browser, and time of whoever downloads them from the public gallery — described further in our Terms of Service. This exists to discourage misuse of a published photograph, not to track visitors who only view the gallery.
4. Who we share information with
Information submitted through the public site is not sold, and is not shared for advertising. It may be processed by service providers who host the Site, send email on our behalf, or provide the underlying database and storage infrastructure, solely to operate the Site — never for their own separate purposes.
5. Children's information
The public website itself does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Photographs of enrolled students that appear in the public gallery are handled under the consent and publication process described in the parent portal's policy, not collected through this public site.
6. Your choices
To ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you've submitted through this site (for example, an admissions inquiry), contact the office. To have a specific published photograph taken down, use /report — no account is required.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
